National Park, which is the most important green sea turtle nesting grounds
in the Western Hemisfere reason why it is famous around the world.

It’s Exuberant vegetation and crystalline lagoons makes of this tropical rainforest a paradise of wilderness. Admire exceptional flora and fauna including orchids, birds, monkeys, crocodiles, toucans, slots, iguanas, manatees, etc. in their natural habitat. Marine turtles such as the Chelonia Midas (green turtle) emerge from the ocean to lay their eggs in the humid tropical forest from July through September.  

Tortuguero, is a navigable network of lake and canals that cross the National Park from Southeast to Northwest and accessible only by land, boat or air. The are no roads to get here!
